Information Systems Security

The Information Systems Security (ISS) Major prepares students to be professionals who apply Information Systems to business problems in a secure and controlled environment. The ISS graduate provides a vital link between the business units and the information and computerized systems they need to be competitive in the information age. Graduates will also have the education required to enter graduate school in Information Systems.

Information Systems is a rapidly changing profession, and the Mount Mercy Computer Science program endeavors to teach, model, and demonstrate the most modern professional practices. Students will learn both the theory and practice of the profession, how to work in groups to complete large software projects, and appropriate ethical standards. Students with an Information Systems degree find excellent employment opportunities in almost all industries.
