MU 322 Instrumentation and Arranging: 3 semester hours

Class designed to help student gain knowledge of composition and arranging. This class will help students learn to engrave music scores and parts as well as an education in the use of music writing software – all genres of music are employed giving the necessary music writing skills for teaching and performance degree candidates. Prerequisite: MU 203.

The music major offers four possible areas of study leading to the baccalaureate degree: the Bachelor of Arts in Music,  Bachelor of Arts in Music: Music Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Music: Liturgical Music Ministry,  and the Bachelor of Arts in Music-Education . Students majoring in music have the option of either a performance or music history concentration. Students wishing to pursue the music history concentration will substitute a bachelor’s thesis for the full senior recital.
