Snow Removal Policy

Mount Mercy Snow Removal Policy Information

The Snow Removal Procedure (SRP) is utilized when winter weather occurs that requires Facilities and Maintenance crew to have clear access to remove snow from Mount Mercy parking lots. Student Services initiates an email correspondence will all students with reminders of the snow removal procedures schedule. Residential students will also have notices placed on theirs floors by the Residence Life team. The email will stated the date the snow removal procedure will take place and any additional information needed. MMU will endeavor to share the plan 24 hours in advance.

All vehicles on campus, regardless of their running condition, must park as outlined below. Any vehicle not removed from designated areas will be ticketed. Public Safety will be present to help direct traffic and provide vehicle assistance that may be needed. You can call them directly at 319-363-1323 ext. 1234. Tunnels will be open for ease of pedestrian traffic.
